Synopsis

The gar­dens of Ver­sailles have always been asso­ci­ated with power, rigour, pomp and cer­e­mony and a cer­tain clas­si­cism. These gar­dens designed by Le Notre in the 17th cen­tury for king Louis XIV are now famous all around the world.Unlike all the pre­vi­ous films made about the gar­dens and which only under­line the beauty of their 18,500 trees, 350,000 bushes, square kilo­me­tres of grass and its so spe­cial green shine spread­ing over 815 hectares, this doc­u­men­tary will give an inside view of the gar­dens as it will fol­low the every­day life of the peo­ple who work there.
