Synopsis

The Span­ish Movi­das, six doc­u­men­tary films about the new musi­cal world in the Iber­ian Penin­sula, a world sim­mer­ing with excite­ment, a mix­ture of mem­o­ries from the begin­ning of the Movida and new bands start­ing their career today. A trip into the Span­ish musi­cal night, as the wit­ness of the after Franco  cul­tural awak­en­ing : a tran­si­tion period at the ori­gin of one of the most impor­tant artis­tic move­ment in our cen­tury  Artists, places, a very young audi­ence, a city : Madrid, and a rhythm cen­tred around Rock music at the cross-roads of many influ­ences com­ing from Africa, Europe and Latin Amer­ica mixed with a more recent com­ing back to the roots of Span­ish cul­ture.
