Synopsis

In Africa and in Mozam­bique more spe­cially most of the cul­ture has remained oral. Con­se­quently music con­veys all emo­tions, aspi­ra­tions and human knowl­edge. Each of the numer­ous eth­nic groups of Mozam­bique has man­aged to keep its cul­tural iden­tity. One of them the Chope has been able to pro­tect the rich­ness of its tim­bila orches­tras. They live in the only place in the world where peo­ple can attend con­certs of dozen of wooden xylo­phones played together.
