Synopsis

From Man­i­fest Des­tiny to Afghanistan, the film his­tor­i­cally explores the sym­bi­otic rela­tion­ship between the rise of Amer­i­can cap­i­tal­ism and the rise of America’s global mil­i­tary pres­ence. Many of the repeated uses of Amer­i­can mil­i­tary force in open­ing up and secur­ing for­eign ter­ri­to­ries for Amer­i­can cap­i­tal­ists and entre­pre­neurs are recalled.
