Synopsis

The film deals with Borges’s last pub­lic appear­ances, in Tokyo, Geneva and Milan, sev­eral weeks before his death of June, 14, 1986. As such, this film can be con­sid­ered the famous Argen­tine poet and storyteller’s filmed cul­tural legacy. Work­ing with footage of Borges in pub­lic, Fer­nando Arra­bal also injects clips from his own film, paint­ings from the “Arra­bal Espace” exhi­bi­tion, as well as sequences shot in Milan dur­ing the sum­mer of 1998.
