Synopsis
Few Parisians still remember Haussmann, except perhaps thanks to the criticism that has been addressed to him: demolition of historic districts, suppression of popular uprisings, exodus of the poor to the suburbs, huge public spending etc. However, these pale in comparison to the phenomenal progress due to the work of Haussmann: hygiene, traffic, lighting, comfort… Maybe it’s time to give back to Baron, what belongs to the baron. Let’s take a walk in the city of Paris and its history.
